Plot
Chinnsasamy is from a family, who performs the last rites for the dead. Chinnasamy, who doesn’t like his profession, decides to change it, being a TNPSC aspirant. His sister is an aspiring medical student. Chinnasamy quits his profession and starts the milk business. Sudalai is a casteist in their town. Chinnasamy’s sister falls in love with Sudalai’s son. After knowing about his son’s love for Chinnasamy’s sister, Sudalai and his relative manhandled her. Soon, Sudalai’s father dies and he calls Chinnasamy to perform the last rites rituals. When Chinnasamy denies doing that, the entire town turns against him. What happened next? Was Chinnasamy able to maintain his stand or step down from his decision? The rest of the film deals with this.
Star Performance
Cheran and Lal excelled in their roles. Cheran has done a great job in the emotional scenes.
Analysis
The director inserted the love track in the film, which make the audience feel it is one of the regular caste-based movie. If the director had projected the film with Chinnasamy and Sudalai, the film might have reached a bit well. However, the director pulled the audience’s attention in certain scenes, especially in the scene when Chinnasamy denies performing the rituals. Sam CS’s music is average. Though he tried to create some emotional value with his music, it didn’t work out well.

If the screenplay had been better, it would have elevated the film to the next level. However, it is watchable once!
